Postcards Talk of Theodore Roosevelt
By Fritz R. and Sandra S. Gordner

This book is a result of one of the co-authors collecting postcards of Theodore Roosevelt over a lifetime. These postcards uniquely tell historic stories that represent events and attitudes during the Theodore Roosevelt era. They talk about milestones in his political and personal life.
The book is meant to rest on your coffee table to read and share with family and friends. It's about the man Theodore Roosevelt. Starting out as a sickly boy, he proved that living a strenuous life could overcome most obstacles and help him become a powerhouse to be respected and an icon to be revered.
Relax and enjoy the reading of this book. Perhaps you will discover a new hobby for yourself.

"This illuminating postcard collection beautifully encapsulates the compelling life and vibrant world of an American original. These small but mighty windows into Theodore Roosevelt and his accomplishments employ history, whimsy, pathos, and original art to educate and delight every level of reader. The Gordners' accompanying annotations provide vital background, and their broad selection of postcards is uniquely satisfying."

"From images of teddy bears to political cartoons to the man himself, Fritz and Sandy Gordner have collected and assembled a multi-view look at who Theodore Roosevelt was and how others perceived him through postcards. While the postcard images are striking on their own, the context provided by the Gordners for each postcard offers important insight into Roosevelt's life and poses important questions about his impact on everyday people around the country and the world."
